1. What we collect

When you open an account with Annealed Evil, we collect:

• Your name and email address
• Birth date, and (optionally) birth time and birth location — used to compute your natal charts
• Voice preference and tier
• Your reflections, logs, decisions, dreams, and briefings (the Oracle's memory)
• Feedback you choose to give on any reading
• If you subscribe, payment details are processed by Stripe — we never see or store card numbers

2. How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively to compute your readings, remember your history, and improve the voice the Oracle uses with you. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties outside the minimum infrastructure we need to serve you (hosting, payments, email).

3. AI processing

The Oracle uses AI language models to synthesize your readings. The prompt sent to the model includes context about you (name, transits, your recent log, feedback history). We never include your raw password or payment information in any prompt.

4. Storage & security

Data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Decision timelines and other sensitive outputs are stored encrypted. Access is restricted to the systems required to serve your account.

5. Couples & Circles

If you join as a Couple or Circle, certain data (your name, sign placements, relevant daily readings) may be shared with the linked accounts in your group. You remain sovereign: no one else can edit your reflections or feedback. You can leave a Couple or Circle at any time from account settings.

6. Data retention & deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request full deletion at any time by emailing [email protected]. Deletion typically completes within 14 days. Some anonymized aggregate metrics (for system improvement) may persist.

7. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. No third-party advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking. Optional analytics may be added later; you will see an opt-in prompt if so.

8. Your rights

You may: request a copy of all data we hold on you, correct inaccuracies, delete your account, or withdraw consent to any optional processing. Email [email protected] to exercise any of these.

9. Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will email you before the change takes effect. Non-material edits (typos, clarifications) are made without notice.
